MLB Network® rebuilds post production facility with IMT

Integrated Media Technologies, Inc. assisted MLB Network in building their new Creative Services SAN infrastructure and the rebuilding of the Post Production initiative, which records over 5,000 hours of content weekly in season, and archives over 30 terabytes a day of content, while enabling efficient access to over 500,000 hours of archived content.

Extensive planning and implementation between the MLB Network technical staff and IMT’s Project Management team resulted in compelling around- the-clock programming that is unparalleled in the world of sports television.

“We deployed two 1.4 PB storage area networks on the E-Series NetApp infrastructure utilizing Quantum StorNext 5.1. When evaluating SAN systems that were to be used purely for broadcast environments, we looked to IMT and their expertise with Quantum and the StorNext File Systems to design, integrate, fine-tune and deploy highly available, reliable solutions to work with the other vendors in our environment.” –Tab Butler, MLB’s Director of Media Management and Post Production
