The Media System Engineering Intern will observe, and where appropriate participate in, the engineering of the entire lifecycle of complex digital Media Asset Management (MAM) and media processing systems, including proposal validation, project delivery and integration, user training and technical support. They will work closely with our Media Systems Engineers to deploy and support solutions, often composed of multiple vendor’s products, in a coherent system meeting customer needs and goals.

The intern will observe the Media System Engineer (MSE) as they consult with:

• IMT Pre-Sales regarding validation of proposed solutions, level of effort and definitions of specific tasks in Scopes of Work
• IMT Project Management, regarding guidance on project plans, execution, and technical support for existing systems
• Systems Engineering, regarding technical infrastructure supporting MAM and other media systems, and regarding the IMT lab
• IMT Software Development, regarding workflows and integrations between MAM systems and other system components
• Customers’ engineering departments, regarding infrastructure supporting IMT solutions
• Customers’ systems administrators, regarding operation of the systems
• Vendors, regarding systems requirements, capabilities and technical issues, including first call support

The Media System Engineering Intern will observe, and where appropriate participate in:

• Installation of MAM and other media system software, including transcoding and Wide Area Network acceleration systems
• Configuration of MAM and media systems
• Writing of workflows, including for MAM and media systems
• Troubleshooting and first call support of MAM and media systems, including IMT integrations between system components
• Documentation regarding implementations
• Documentation regarding workflows
• Documentation regarding support


While most work is performed remotely, travel may be required to clients for consulting and deployment.
